More candles ...

Sarah Young Enterprise group want another 15 candles for an event this weekend.  As Sarah has been off sick for the last 2 days we have been unable to get her friends to help so she and I have been busy colouring, glittering and wrapping today and have finally managed to get all 15 done.  Here is a selection ...

Sarah Young Enterprise Scheme

Sarah has joined the Young Enterprise team at school and they are hoping to go to a Christmas Fair at Walton on Thames on Saturday to start their sales - unfortumately they don't at present have anything to sell - so - we have come up with the idea to sell some decorated candles.  I have been rushing round yesterday and today to source some cheapish candles so that she and her friends can decorate them tonight and tomorrow night!  Here are the samples that I came up with for her to take to her meeting last night to show her new colleagues.

Dizzy Snowman Christmas Card

Finally found some time this afternoon to tackle the pile of christmas cards I need to make.  Have made a pile (about 30) all in one style but I need a change now.  There are sooo many fab challenge blogs out there that I have only just discovered that are great for inspiration - so today's card uses one these.  This sketch (from The Sweetest Thing) really caught my eye and I knew I had an old stamp that I thought would suit it.
and here is my design -

Dovecraft paper, edged with black glitter.  Anita's Stamp coloured with copics, and a Sentiment stamp that was a freebie from a magazine.  I used a fiskars embossing board for the swirly top panel.

Christmas Card - sketch challenge

Having been working on my christmas cards, mostly same design for the bulk of them, so I decided to take a break and do something different.  I used the sketch on the Sketch Saturday blog. Here is my design -
Used Dovecraft Papers, Pine Tree Nestabilities - medium size!, foliage stamp (no idea where this came from - had it ages), Whispers archival dye ink - green green. Sakura pen, glitter and mirri card from stash.

Sarah's Birthday and Mothers Day

Bit late but here are some pics of the cards and cake from Sarah's 14th Birthday.

Rock Band (DigiSparkle) coloured with Copics.  Paper from my stash, can't remember where from!
After doing a pizza cake for Stephen's birthday I thought I would follow the food theme and as Sarah's favourite food is pasta and decided on a spaghetti and meatballs cake ...
Piped buttercream to create the spaghetti, then Ferrara Roche smothered in seedless raspberry jam to make the meatballs and sauce.  Finished off with grated white chocolate to represent parmesan cheese. Really pleased with the end result of the easy to make cake.  Went down so well with the family that I recreated a fortnight later for my Niece's 13th Birthday.

Laptop card for Niece's 13th Birthday.  Took a screen snapshot from PC and printed onto glossy photo paper then mounted onto black easel card.

Golden Wedding and 14th Birthday

Hi, really must settle down to some serious card making, i no longer have a stash for last minute birthdays, so while hubby was working from home this morning I escaped to my craft room and managed to make a 14th birthday card for one of Sarah's friends for Saturday and a golden wedding card for one of our neighbours for tomorrow (altho to be fair I only found out about this one yesterday!).

My Little Man is 12 today!

Here are a couple of pics of Stephen's birthday cards, first one from us and the second one was made by Sarah.  He is a big fan of Little Big Planet so thought I'd make a card using Sack Boy.

And finally a photo of his birthday cake!  Tea tonight is real pizza followed by cake pizza!!!
